The common material used for rubber stoppers

ZYXrubber Rubber stoppers are available in different sizes, shapes, and materials to accommodate various needs.  The most common material used for the manufacturing rubber stopper is as below:

• Natural Rubber:

natural rubber is known for its abrasion resistance and flexibility in lower temperatures. However, it is not recommended for use with oil, gasoline, and ozone sunlight.

• Silicone:

Silicone is highly flexible and exhibits excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and compression. It is commonly used when a high degree of flexibility is required.

• Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR):

SBR has good water and liquid pressure resistance, making it suitable for rubber caps and stoppers.

• EPDM:

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber is known for its resistance to weather conditions, chemicals, and heat. It can be used in various applications and environmental conditions.

• Neoprene:

Neoprene rubber offers excellent resistance against acids and can withstand different weather conditions. It is often used in applications that require resistance to both chemicals and outdoor elements.

• Nitrile Rubber (NBR):

Nitrile rubber, also known as Buna-N, is commonly used in the automotive and machinery industries. It exhibits good resistance to oils, fuels, and other fluids, making it suitable for rubber plugs and stoppers in these applications.

• Butyl rubber:

Butyl rubber has excellent gas impermeability and high resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and polar solvents. Butyl rubber possesses good flexibility even at low temperatures, allowing it to maintain its elasticity and sealing properties in cold environments.
